Our goal is to brew change by engaging with organizations that support the people of local and surrounding communities and the natural resources we all enjoy. We aim to invest time and resources to help further the missions of these organizations in effecting preservation and positive development.
Food Bank
Toppling Goliath was happy to present the Decorah Community Food Pantry with a $1,000 donation check - the proceeds raised from the sale of “A Christmas Story” merch in November and December of 2022. We also ran a food drive in our taproom that generated over 165 pounds of food for families in need just ahead of the holiday season.

This memorial is not to honor war, but to show the price of peace lest future generations forget the sacrifices made to maintain freedom. Free pint with military-issued ID and 10% off.
fire department
The people of Decorah and surrounding communities showed up in a BIG WAY to help the Decorah Volunteer Fire Department (DVFD) raise a record $80,000+ during its fourth annual fundraiser here at Toppling Goliath! Monies raised this year will be used toward a 2023 CanAm Defender XT Pro with Mattracks and a new Fire/EMS skid unit.
celebration of life
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a portion of the proceeds from TG’s Pseudo Sue pink tee and Dragon Fandango promotions were donated to Winneshiek Celebration of Life. WCCOL offers free mammograms for uninsured and underinsured individuals. Their “Fuel for the Fight” and “Food for the Fight” programs provide gas and grocery grants to eligible individuals going through cancer treatment.
holiday lights
Holiday Lights is an annual light display aimed at raising funds for Helping Services for Youth & Families in northeast Iowa. Toppling Goliath team members volunteer each year to work this event.
vesterheim
Vesterheim is the national Norwegian-American museum and heritage center, showcasing the most extensive collection of Norwegian-American artifacts in the world. Toppling Goliath created the collaborative beer Valkyrie Strike to celebrate the Vesterheim’s history of tattoos exhibit, Tattoos: Identity Through Ink.
humane society of NEIA
Toppling Goliath is elated to provide a “Gotcha Day” lunchbox full of pet toys plus a TG free pint coupon with each new adoption from the Humane Society of Northeast Iowa. Heck, bring your new pet to celebrate. Our patio is dog-friendly.
seed savers
Seed Savers Exchange aims to conserve and promote America’s culturally diverse but endangered garden and food crop heritage. Collecting, growing, and sharing heirloom seeds and plants helps preserve them for future generations. Toppling Goliath proudly donates to the monetary funds of this amazing non-profit.
Project Hop Fisch + Project A.W.A.R.E
Project Hop Fisch IV is a special collaboration project between three Iowa breweries: Big Grove Brewing Co., Toppling Goliath Brewing Co., and Lua Brewing. Each batch of Hop Fisch supports the effort to clean and protect Iowa's water resources. This year, all three breweries are donating to Project A.W.A.R.E, a non-profit organization dedicated to cleaning up Iowa's waterways.
